Here are some documents to obtain when you are applying for a mortgage:

• Passport &/or Driver's License & NIB Card
• Copy the first four pages of the passport
• Copy both sides of the license & National Insurance Card
• Job Letter & Pay slip (most recent)
• All letters should be verified & include Job Title, Tenure and Salary
• Bank Statements for Two Years (Self-employed persons only)
• Credit Report (Credit Bureau)
• Credit Reference (s) &/or Loan Printout (s)
• Sales Agreement
• Approved Plan (Construction Loan)
• Appraisal Report/ Quantity Surveyor's Report
• Contactor's Estimates (at least three)
  Three references on contractor attesting to his abilities & work quality
• Builder's All Risk Insurance or Homeowner's Insurance
• Evidence of Real Property Tax Payment (most recent)
• Life Insurance Policy Contract
